There is a great e-mail list of local case managers and I will post this to
that list as well.

Subject: [Katrina-IT-Volunteers] Trying to get in touch with evacuees
(nowcitizens here)
One person on an email list has some work she wanted to offer to someone
now living here. I'm trying to get in touch with people who were forced by
authorities to leave without their pets (for a senator wanting such
testimonies). Someone else wants to get the stories of people involving
animals for a Katrina tribute. I've seen email from people wanting to
donate items.
Does anyone know how people from NO now living here can be contacted?

"Nearly 2 million companion animals are stolen each year. Many are taken
under false pretenses through free to good home ads or are abducted from
their yards. These animals are then sold to research laboratories,
dogfighting rings or puppy mills, where they are abused and often killed."
