Hello all,

Shawn's excellent suggestion last week of recording FEMA documents onto
audio, so that evacuees who cannot read can still get critical information,
is something that we could make possible at Alive in Truth. We have digital
recording equipment and would be happy to offer time and skills to create a
CD.

While we do not have financial resources to record multiple CD's, we could
post a streaming audio version to the web (this would take some time, but
would be worth it.) What we would need is someone familiar with the text to
act as a reader, and a person who is willing to meet for a few hours once or
twice, and help "manage" the project. Are there materials which are static
and final, or are the FEMA dispatches always changing (this is my
impression, but I hope it is outdated.)

I find the idea important and inspiring, and hope we can make it happen. If
you are interested in participating, please backchannel.
