Dear Katrina evacuee computer assistance volunteers - For those of you
who are still working with evacuees personally, I thought you would
like to pass this on.  Looks like a very nice event just for them.
Flyer attached.

They don't need computer help, but if you can give someone a ride to
the event then e-mail or call Sam Woolard at Community Action Network
(contact info below).  Or if you can pass this along to your churches,
other volunteer organizations working with evacuees, etc - please do.

On Saturday February 18 from 10:00am-4:00pm at the ACC Eastview campus
on
Webberville, there will be an event for our new Hurricane residents.
The
event will combine opportunities to find out the latest information
with an
opportunity to have some fun and connect with each other. We know this
is
short notice but here are three requests:

1) Please distribute this flyer to as many of our new residents as you
can
and encourage them to attend

2) If you are with an organization that would like to have a table and
share information or speak with folks, please let me know asap so we
know
how many tables we will need

3) If your organization can provide transportation for evacuees to the
event, please let me know the type of transportation and how many
people
you can transport.
