[Katrina-IT-Volunteers] 2 things

Sharon - great idea, but probably not possible for awhile.

Everyone - For the people we know are going to be working quite a bit, we
are able to arrange for those blue placards on lanyards to wear around
your neck.. The request needs to go through me. Probably best to call
me at 576-9666 if you need one because I have an eye injury right now
and can't spend much time at the computer checking e-mails.. I think I'll
be back up to speed by Monday evening.

Be aware that I've been told that they are being very judicious with
these blue placards because of security concerns. I am faxing a list of
everyone who has signed up for a shift that day at around 8:00 every
morning to the volunteer office. I use the volunteer sign up web site to
prepare the report. They are using that list like a bible now and should
give you a wristband without question. Blue placards are another fax and
I can send those faxes at any time.

I need to be removed from the list for tomorrow from 11 AM to 3PM
  because I
have come down with a heavy chest cold and have no business exposing
  everyone else.

Suggestion: The Travis County Medical Society has established a
  special
entrance for doctors and nurses-see if you can do such a thing for IT
  workers
