Can anyone help a lovely lady fix her home computer? It's okay with her if
someone takes it away to work on it. She thinks it has a virus. It's an HP
with Windows ME purchased in 2000. Her son worked on it some, but couldn't
fix it. She says now it just gives her "a black screen with a lot of white
typing on it that doesn't make sense" to her. It sounds like she has her
software and operating system CDs.
She's in south central Austin near Oltorf and Pleasant Valley. If you can
help out, give me a call or an e-mail and I'll put you in touch with her.
Also - There are some evacuees asking their case managers if there are
refurbished computers available somewhere for Christmas presents for their
kids. If you have any or can wipe drives and refurbish a few, let me know
that as well. I think there are four requests.
