It was probably last spring, or maybe even earlier, the last time we
tried to do anything.
To (re-)introduce myself, I'm Mark Linimon and I've been a FreeBSD
contributor since around 2003. I currently hold the dual hats of portmgr
(6 people on the teamm) and bugmeister (2 people on the team). My
FreeBSD goals are to see continual improvment in the Ports Collection,
better handling of our Problem Reports, and better commnication between
the developers and the users and potential users.
I am the author and maintainer of portsmon (portsmon.FreeBSD.org).
I have many years of experience (too many) in the computer business,
including years of C and assembler on embedded systems, and Java on
servers and desktops. I have a Batchelor's of Science in Electrical
Engineering from Rice University.
I live out on the west side of town with one very obese Maine Coon
Cat and enjoy live music and good beer, generally in commbination.
I almost never sign email with my full name.
